Bon courage !!
Paul William Walker, IV was born on September 12, 1973 in Glendale, California to Paul, III and Cheryl Walker. Paul is the eldest of four children including his sister Ashlie, and his brothers Caleb and Cody.
Paul's father, a former Golden Gloves champion had become a business man owning his own sewer contracting company. Cheryl, a former model, decided to return to that career shortly after the birth of Paul. At the suggestion of her agent, she began taking Paul with her on assignments, and his popularity grew to the point where he was landing more jobs than his mother. All of Paul's siblings got into child modeling as well, and one of them even starred in a Pamper's commercial. However, Paul is unable to recall whether it was him or one of his sublings.
Paul worked his way through most of the popular 80's sitcoms including Charles in Charge, Who's the Boss and Different Strokes before deciding to take a break from acting to live the normal life of a teenager filled with football and girls. But, before this, he co-starred in two movies, Programmed to Kill and Monster in the Closet, as well as played on one season of the series Throb in 1987.
Paul attended Village Christian High School where he graduated in 1991. He loved sports (basketball, football, skateboarding, snowboarding and his beloved surfing) and played for his high school football team. Paul was also voted most popular, best eyes, etc. by his graduating class.
Shortly after graduation, Paul decided to study marine biology out of his love for the ocean, and bounced around from one southern California junior college to another, while he worked odd construction jobs - a skill he picked up from summers working with his dad. But, this didn't last long and he returned to acting, landing a recurring role as Brandon Collins on The Young and The Restless soap opera. This lasted about a year before he took some time off.
Paul once again returned to acting with a role in the 1994 film Tammy and the T-Rex. However, the film did not fair well and the disappointment hit Paul hard, causing him to leave acting behind once again. Paul spent a lot of time traveling the world, hitting such exotic places as Thailand, Costa Rica and Fiji. He ended up running up over $40,000 in credit card debt because he had been out of work for so long, and this put Paul in a pretty desperate situation. It was to the point where he was living in a friend's garage, ready to have to sell his truck to survive (since pan handling at Magic Mountain was not enough to live on), when he got a call from his former agent telling him about a role on Touched by an Angel. Paul took the role out of desperation, but was quickly bitten by the acting bug once again, and he never looked back.
Paul immediately landed two film roles, Pleasantville and Meet the Deedles, followed by many more films over the next few years, sealing his place as one of Hollywood's hottest new stars. He has been steadily gaining film roles ever since.
Pfffiou !!
